About Business
The Merry Hen is a small homestead in Southern Maryland operated by the Merranko Family. We raise only Cream and White Legbar chickens, and sell chicks, and hatching eggs. We are located in Calvert County, Maryland, which is located between the Chesapeake Bay and the Patuxent River. While we allow local pick-up, we do not allow visits to the coop area for any reason due to biosecurity measures. We are a NPIP Certified operation, tested and clean for AI and TP. Our NPIP # is 51-558. We are members of the American Poultry Association (APA) and the Cream Legbar Club. Sarah Merranko is currently serving as the Eastern Regional Director for the Cream Legbar Club.
